How to Become Emdr Therapist

EMDR Training.  Be a emdr therapist, give complex psychological methodology to accelerate the treatment.  Before I get into emdr training, let’s get a quick overview of emdr.  EMDR is a form of psychotherapy that was developed to resolve symptoms resulting from disturbing life experiences and unresolved.  It uses a structured approach to address issues past, present and future of intrusive memories.  The approach developed by Francine Shapiro to resolve the development of trauma-related disorders caused by exposure to a traumatic or distressing event such as rape, child related trauma and more.  Click here to read more about EMDR.

To become a licensed EMDR therapist, you need to find a certified and approved school, you need credibility and not implausibility.  EMDR is now firmly established by research to be the treatment of choice for PTSD and trauma.  The EMDR training will prepare participants to use EMDR effectively with their clients through didactic and experiential exercises.  The participant will learn about the efficiency of the treatment and how it can be used with a wide range of clients and situations.  Always keep in mind that your client is the priority and should treated as such.
